LATE NIGHT SHOPPING ... 10 December 2010
Our annual Christmas Late Night Shopping event, which over the years has become more of a town Christmas party, with the town filled with attractions, market stalls and entertainment.
Over the last few years this event has turned into more of a ‘Christmas Party’, with huge numbers of people coming into the town for the evening to enjoy the events and attractions.
All the attractions are free, and funded by the Chamber of Commerce, by way of a ‘Thank You’ to local people who support us during the year. The vast majority of Chamber members are small independent businesses. A full listing of our current membership can be found on our notice boards, located in the Market House and White Hart Arcades. Without the support of our member businesses, we would not be able to put on such an event.
I’m pleased to report that Sasha Gillard-Loft, our local Cornwal Council representative, is organising the event for us again this year, and I know she has some great things planned to keep people entertained.
Following a procession around the town, Santa will be in his Grotto in the Market House Arcade to meet the children.
So please keep this date free in your diary, as the event is fast becoming a night to remember for young and old alike – and those in between!
Paul Loft Chairman.
