We are a members’ golf club which has been in existence since 1927 and we are proud of our history providing golf for the people of Launceston and the surrounding area.
Membership is open to all and we attract many members from outside of the town itself, with some travelling from Plymouth, Tavistock, Liskeard and the North Coast. We put this popularity down to the friendly atmosphere in the Club and the welcome we afford to visitors.
The golf course itself is a full 18 hole parkland course which from its highest point gives wonderful views of Launceston as well as both Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor. We welcome visitors to play paying green fees and also offer society packages for groups of golfers wanting a day out.
The Clubhouse is a converted farm building which retains much of its character and we offer bar and restaurant facilities and can cater for many types of events, birthday/anniversary parties, small wedding receptions etc.
As a members Club we chose to move away from the old tradition of guests “signing in” to the Club and now have a full bar licence so we are open to anyone and most days are open from 8.00 in the morning.
Call Julia our Bar Manager or Paul our chef for more information.
Attached to the Clubhouse is a well-stocked shop run by our PGA qualified professional John Tozer and his assistant Mark Atkin. John provides golf lessons for beginners and existing golfers and frequently runs special offers for group sessions for beginners.
Look out for special events under the national “Get into Golf” campaign which is now run annually in May but we can get you into the game at any time… just get in touch.
