So as we quickly pace through the summer of 2016, the chambers focus lands on the end of the year. One of the busiest times of the year for our chamber activities.
Our Christmas sub team, will be meeting shortly (feedback will be discussed at the September chamber members meeting.) to discuss the plans for the Launceston Christmas lights, the fundraising required, the plans for the light switch on (and of course, the list of helpful volunteers who set up the tree and lights in the square in their own free time.), the late night shopping event, carols around the tree and more.
Launceston thrives during the final months of the year, (always following a busy summer with lots f summer events held in town) and requires alot of planning and booking in advance. 2015 was a bumper year for our Chamber winter activities including the food and rink weekend. This year brings along with it a wine and wisdom and a fashion show too. We are always looking for ways to get volunteers more involved with such community projects. If you know of a local business who may be interested in joining their local chamber of commerce, working hand in hand with other local businesses and getting more involved in community events and local projects, send them our way. We would love to welcome more businesses to the chamber, bringing with them more hands (they make light work you know!) new approaches and fresh ideas.
We will ensure all events are listed on our social media streams, on Launceston 20-20 (which also means they will appear in all printed weekly posters) and that chamber members also share details so no-one misses out! More details and a list of our winter events will be released soon, so watch this space.
